BSSC POLAR BEAR PLUNGE COED VOLLEYBALL EVENT BENEFITING THE MD SPECIAL OLYMPICS
The Polar Bear Plunge is part of Maryland's & Baltimore Sports & Social Club history. For the past 25 years, thousands of plungers have jumped into the icy waters of the Chesapeake Bay all in support of Special Olympics Maryland. Your dedication to our 6,102 athletes is impactful and has created countless inclusion experiences across the state of Maryland. Help us reach our goal of $3.5 million this year and register for the 2022 Plunge!

EVENT DETAILS

DATE: Saturday, March 19th, 2022 
TIMES: 10:00 am to 4:00 pm
LOCATION: The BRAND NEW Patterson High School  
100 Kane St, Baltimore, MD 21224
EVENT FORMAT: Each team will play (2) volleyball matches (2 out of 3 games), scheduled back to back.  

CHARITY EVENT  COED TEAM / INDIVIDUAL FEES 
** The event fee is based on $35 per player.  
**  Teams are based on 3 men and 3 female players on the court at one time.  Teams MAY have more than 6 players on the team.
** The BSSC league fee includes:BSSC specials at our official BSSC sponsor bar, BSSC staff (field leaders/officials), field rental and set-up, MedStar Sports Medicine access.

BSSC PLUNGE TEAM BONUS ! ! ! ! !
( Folks that are jumping into the water as part of the BSSC Polar Bear Plunge Team )
** If you coach a team for this event, you will ride the bus for FREE and your team fee will go directly to your personal donation page.
** NOTE: Teammates CAN NOT be Plunge Team Members. Your team MAY have more than 6 players on the team, so ALL player fees will be included in your person donation page.

BSSC COED DIVISIONS FOR THIS CHARITY EVENT ( Coaches / Individuals Choose league online ) 
Teams will move up one division if not enough teams sign up for theirs.  
Tastes Great: Teams with upper intermediate athletic skills.   
Less Filling: Teams with lower intermediate athletic skills.   

EVENT FORMAT & RULES:   
** For this charity event, the BSSC will institute an event format instead of a tournament format. This event format allows players to be less competitive as they realize that they are going to play a (2) coed volleyball matches, drink a few beers and meet a few new friends. All this, while helping out MD Special Olympics; what a deal!

EVENT REFUNDS   
** If the charity event is canceled because of weather, the BSSC will make every effort to reschedule. The rain out date will be SUNDAY, MARCH, 20th   
** Once a team or individual has been registered for this event, no full refunds will be given if the games are rescheduled.   
** If the event is canceled completely, we hope players will allow the BSSC to donate the full amount to the charity and not ask for a refund.
