SANTA CHARITY EVENT BASICS
Santa Claus Anonymous is a unique volunteer non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization that was founded in 1934 by Theodore R. McKeldin (Baltimore mayor in 1943 and 1963). Each year, keenly aware of the thousands of children in the Baltimore metropolitan area who go without presents at holiday time, we raise money to give every child a Christmas. And there are many children to help. In 1934, we raised $800 for Christmas distribution. This year, our goal is close to $300,000. The way that we will reach that goal is with dedication, cooperation, and a belief in the spirit of Christmas. We partner with the Department of Social Services or its equivalent in Baltimore City and seven neighboring counties Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Carroll, Cecil, Harford, Howard and Fredrick to accurately identify eligible recipients and distribute gift certificates for them.
The BSSC and Santa would like everyone to remember that this is a 100 % NON-contact co-ed football event to help children have a Merry Christmas.
Unsportsmanlike conduct will NOT be tolerated, and players will be asked to leave the event, if this type of conduct occurs. Santa told me that he will personally put you on the Naughty List indefinitely, if you get tossed!

football games, drink a few beers and meet a few new friends. All this,
while helping out a needy child for Christmas; what a deal! Charity
event football rules can be found below.

** If the charity event is canceled because of weather or field conditions, the BSSC will make every effort to reschedule. The rain out date will be the next available date on the calendar.

** The events cost ( tee shirts, field rental, etc.) are pre-paid, so if the BSSC is unable to reschedule the event, a partial refund of $10 will be credited back to your account.
** If the event is canceled completely, we hope players will allow the BSSC to donate the full amount to the charity and not ask for a refund.
